Description
The property in the “Rote Kaserne West” development area in Potsdam was originally part of the gardens for the 2001 Federal Horticultural Show and is located in the immediate vicinity of what is now Volkspark Potsdam.
On this nature-oriented site, five buildings with up to four full stories are being constructed, forming a diversely designed landscape garden at their shared center. The materials used in the buildings reflect the high-quality architectural concept. A composition of plaster surfaces with varying textures, combined with accents of brick, harmonizes in tone with the surrounding natural colors and contributes to the ensemble’s refined appearance.
The impression of a cohesive ensemble is further enhanced by the picturesque open-space design in which the project is embedded. Here, in particular, the tradition of Potsdam’s garden culture is clearly evident.
